breeding question

heathn Nov 28, 2006 06:08 PM

My ghost male and albino female have been together for about 6 weeks now. When first introduced it was hot and heavy and I saw a couple ovulations. Both have shed, the male about 2 weeks after introduction and the female at about 3 weeks. Since then I have seen courting and copulation but no ovulation, but I could have missed it. In the past couple of weeks it has really been toned down on the lovemaking. Neither have been fed since itnroduction. While the female has shed, I believe it was too early to be her POS. Any ideas on what is going on or what I should do? I plan on leaving them together for a while longer but any info would be greatly appreciated.

I saw a couple "copulations". Sorry for the mistake.

If there is still activity, leave them together.

Yep. Just in case, no harm in leaving them together. I just removed my male again - he had stayed away from the female for more than a week and she looks puffy. You can try taking the male out for one or two days (I was advised to try this when my male started showing less interest), and then putting him back. He might get more interested (absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that).
