To me it looks like you took a picture of a picture, maybe an old pic of yours or maybe out of a herp magazine??
actually, its a pic that was sent to me a few years ago.The pic was scanned in cause its about 15 years old now.Its a w/c polyzona from northern veracruz. This is were the high band count animals came from.

Looks like he is posing on top of a whole bunch of rabbit or some other mammals turds
Shannon,.......It closely resembles the one I showed you earlier, as well as the "neonate" you had in a previous photo, also a darn good match for the one in "Markel's". It has the classic "nasal patches" polyzona's sometimes typically are known for having...........that hatchling pic you posted earlier is a mirror image of the one I had years ago, don't you agree?
Yes,I agree. The baby I posted was probably a siblings to yours. They all came from the same source.

The picture is a scan from a Kodachrome slide. It is a wild caught male polyzona which I owned virtually it's entire life. I aquired it from Ray Guese when it was small. It was captured by a small kid on vacation in Mexico.
In the beginning this snake was the founder of virtually every pure polyzona produced in this country. It died at an old age just about five years ago.
I scanned the slide and sent it to Shannon Brown a couple of years ago.
