It is better, in my opinion, to give your snake smaller items. Too much at one time makes your snake fat. Even with the colubrids it has been found, rather than one large item, to feed them 2 smaller items. I seen a Documentary on retics one time & they find some of the larger retics in the sewers near the cities that are feeding on the rats. I posted a pic in an above thread of my retic. He is about 16ft & 3 years old. I give him 4 to 5 rats each feeding. He is very active & healthy. loves to go out& explore the "hood".
and are born with variable metabolic rates.. some grow fast and others dont grow much...
sounds like you have one that could be a real eater... and may take to large prey items more frequent than other retics...
i would feed her when ever she gives you that "look"...
the growing period is a very sensative time and you should give her what she wants until she is a full grown adult... read your retic... they will tell you their needs, but dont throw common sense to the wind.
i think if you feed her like you are she would easliy break the 15ft mark in a year. dont push her though... hope that helps.
