Trimorphodon reproduction

irunfast Nov 29, 2006 11:30 PM

I have a pair of lyre's that I recently aquired that I am planning on breeding this spring. I see below that there are a few around here that work with this awesome genus. I have breed some Pituophis, but this is my first attempt with Trimorphodon. Any tips for success with these guys? How long is incubation and how big are the hatchlings? Any help would be appreciated. By the way, my pair is from Mt. Hopkins locality.

If they're like other carbon-based life forms, Barry White albums are key.

SpitfireReptiles.com has had success breeding sonorans and may have helpful tips. I don't believe they have lyres anymore. With great regret I passed up on their collection. They had an axanthic hatchling, and still have a picture of it on their site.

Lateralis, best of luck to your breeding this spring. Please keep us posted.
