pinkish hue on under side scales?

larrymc Feb 07, 2003 08:45 PM

i was cleaning out my bp's cage this evening and i noticed his scales on his belly have a pinkish hue. they have always been solid white in the past. there are no signs of a shed or anything. has anyone else ever experienced this?
thanks

This is usually an indication that your python is going to go into its shed cycle. Check the eyes in the next day or two and see if they get cloudy (they will) - Jack up your humidity (to like, 80) and give your snake a hide with some damp paper towels - let us know how your snakes shed goes
