when building your own cage..............

Since we live in the same town and all! I used Melamine board which is like a white coated plywood that is pretty water proof. You can spray it down to clean it and the chemicals and bad odors don't soak into the wood. I would be careful about using plain old wood. If you use bleach or ammonia to clean with they will soak into the wood and with the heat from the bulb could cause some nasty fumes for your beardie. Just a precaution. I've seen some people using linoleum (spelling?). It's cheap and easy to install. That way whatever you spray on comes off.
