I have two beardies one is about a year and a half, and the other is about 9 months. They both were fiesty when I got them as hatchlings. As they grew they slowly became more approachable. I would just recommend, maybe putting some food in your hand and letting it come into your hand to get it, and instead of grabbing it and holding it, just lay your hand in the enclosure for a few minutes each day. If it figures out that its going to get a treat when you stick your hand in there it will not be as mean. Laying your hand in the enclosure allows the dragon to get used to you. You are much bigger than it so it is naturally afraid of you. Over time they should grow out of it though.

^^Are dragons really that smart? If you stick your hand in, they'll actually figure out that it's not meant to instill harm?? I know my snakes aren't that smart and I'm new to the beardies, so I'm just curious.
