That turned out remarkably well for everyone considering (from the way the article was written) the incident started with stupid keeper mistakes. Feeding by hand apparently, and smelling like food. Good one.

I'm actually kind of surprised 1) that the taser worked the way it did, 2) that after the situation was resolved, the officer left the home, and 3) nobody was calling for the death of the snake, or movements for new anti-reptile legislation, etcetera and so forth.

It sure made a headline though!

I was surprised they didn't say more about killing or confiscating the burm, too. We have very few regulations in this state concerning exotic animals. Guess we have to enjoy it while it lasts.

trust me, those tassers work very well!! We had to train with them at work. We had 8 people linked arm and arm. Placed one wire on the person to the far left and the other wire on the person to the far right. Once the tasser was fired all eight people collapsed!!
