There is an active forum devoted to melleri on yahoo groups. The forum is working on a care sheet, but as these chams are VERY fussy and different it will be quite a job. There are also recent articles on melleri on www.chameleonnews.com that will give you some ideas. Rule 1) DON'T buy an import or a large adult from anyone unless they can prove it is cbb (95% will be wc). The export trade in these beautiful chams could decimate the wild populations, as mortality is very high. Be prepared to give it several checks for parasites by a herp vet...some parasites they carry are circulatory microfilaria and difficult to treat. Be prepared for kidney and liver problems in any import. Some melleri are quite tolerant of human presence and some are just too stressy (and nasty) to spend any time around. They need extremely large living spaces and even a large cage (6'x5'x5') may not be enough. If you can free range it in a room with lots of potted trees this can work well. So, read the articles I mentioned, check in with the melleri forum, and think about it. Melleri are neat chams but they are very demanding of time and patience.
