new treatment fot snake mite??

johnmp Dec 01, 2006 11:12 PM

I have been doing some research on snake mites and how to get rid of them. I have run across a natural solution that use a predatory mite to eradicate snake and cage of mites. Hypoaspis mites will eat the mites from the animal and the eggs from the cage and when they run out of food they simple die off. No pest strips or chemicals and no side effects.
I am wondering if anyone has tried this method of exterminating snake mites. Check out this site http://www.biconet.com/biocontrol/hypoaspis.html

I've heard some good things about these mites, but have not seen them used... I havn't had snake mites in over 10 years. While they do seem like a godsend, I've also heard they arn't as perfect as they first seem. Just another trick in a bag full of tools, to be used as the situation dictates.
