Good substrate for Woma's.

rudedogsurfrat Dec 02, 2006 09:30 AM

I just got some really nice boaphile cages. The aspen that I usually use just isn't doing it for me.
What looks good and is safe for the snakes?

Thanks

Rudy

I use sand. I feed in separate containers, so there is no sand ingestion/impaction issue. Aside from the snakes getting dusty every now and then, it looks and works great.

I used to use new paper on my pair, but it became a problem because they would pretty much destroy and crumple the paper, then eventually deficate all over the bottom of the cage. Last week I change over to ESU lizard litter (I was orinally looking for a product called Sani Chips but my local supplier didnt carry it,this was the closest thing). The only concern is feeding at this piont, we will see how it goes over the weekend, but the womas love it.
