Have you made a cash sale over $1000 this year?

Have you made a cash sale over $3000 this year?

What is the most you sold a single snake for this year, cash only?

My answers are yes, no, and $700. But I am still having fun!

Whats it matter what people made? Why does anyone need to know if someone made even 20 bucks. Its for them and the people that got the animals off them. I kinda think its rude to even ask. This shouldnt be about money and really should be about bragging about how much you made this year.

BlakeDeffenbaugh Dec 03, 2006 03:03 PM

The not didnt go in for some reason.

EmberBall Dec 03, 2006 03:09 PM

I think for those who are not in it for the money, who do not need to make $x per month to pay bills, the Ball Hobby is alive and well, which is my point. There is money to be made, but not the "millions" that there may once have been. I have pretty much broken even, I do not think that is bragging

I did not ask what you made this year, I asked if you sold any $1K Balls, 3K Balls, etc. Reread what I wrote...or don't.

I'm not surprised.........Conner has some great stuff. I'm still loving my pastel.......waiting for him to get his groove on still.

EmberBall Dec 03, 2006 08:49 PM

What line Pastel, any pics? Even if they go down to $1.99, I will still love Pastels and what they do to other morphs.

I don't post much, just read all of this every day. Dave, you certainly have a nack for rubbing people the wrong way. LOL Some things I agree with others I don't. But I'll keep it to myself. As for me, this is my third year breeding. Still either keeping everything for myself and trading for new morphs. But having fun!
Good luck,
Casey

Casey, what all are you working with? I am looking forward to my Clown project....Pastel Het Clown male and two Het Clown females. I think Clowns are, and should be, one of the more sought after morphs.

As for rubbing people the wrong way, I think alot of the people who bad mouth me are people with no Balls, and just like to jump in and say, "Yeah, what he said." I may be wrong.

CaseyWagner Dec 03, 2006 04:28 PM

I am doing most of my projects the hard way. ( with het males) I have some co doms, recessive and some stuff I hope to prove out this year.(hope) No clown project but I think that's one of the better morphs also. I did just purchase the adult male yellow belly from TSK. I think he was the father of the first 2 ivorys produced.( I think). Thanks,
Casey

EmberBall Dec 03, 2006 04:41 PM

Ah, the YellowBelly. I think the YB and Pastel are so underrated right now. My plan is to add female YellowBellies and Pastels instead of normal females from now on, based on the price of Pastel and YB females. I personally like the Ivory, even though white snakes are not really my thing. I also think that the cross potential with the YB is still untapped. The problem is, so many YB's came in with all the normals, in large shipments, which made the price go down. You cannot go wrong buying from Dan and Colette!

Yes, Yes and Over the 2nd question but under 100k ... lol

BrandonBoeke Dec 04, 2006 12:41 PM

One of mine sold for 9k.......and my largest deal was about 20k. People need to understand that there is still a LOT of money being made in this business, and this negative attitude people are having doesn't inspire confidence in their customers.......hence, no deal. I love what I do......this is all I do for a living, how can there be a better job than hatching out crazy morphs and combos for a living? To talk with snake fanatics all over the country? To put things up for sale and be able to make 40k in ONE day (happened last year)? I know I've mentioned money a few times, but to me it has always been a big perk. To go into my facility, be with all my snakes all day, and walk out with plenty of money for new morphs, living expenses, etc........can it really get any better?

magicalmorphs Dec 04, 2006 03:56 PM

I know Brandon is doing well......I made a $3000.00 contribution to him myself this year.

The market "is what it is" and I think what is currently going on will ultimately be healthy. I have had $xx,xxx transactions but I have bought more than I have sold. I am holding on to almost everything I am producing for the next couple of years. No chicken little here!
