Next to cobra's , whose got a better throat display than spilotes? My pissed off blue beauty comes close, especially since it's not usually a bluff.

Both Pseustes spp. and Ptyas spp. come to mind for top colubrid throat displays, though Spilotes spp. certainly have a great display as well...

Some of my couperi do a pretty good version of puffing up their neck when first picked up.
Thats a good looking snake you have there.
Looks like it's getting pretty close to your face! He might have been sizing up your eyeball. lol
