Spilotes

Just picked her up yesterday at a show. Captive bred and real tame (for spilotes). I am in awe of this animal. Thanks for looking , Don.

Next to cobra's , whose got a better throat display than spilotes? My pissed off blue beauty comes close, especially since it's not usually a bluff.

Both Pseustes spp. and Ptyas spp. come to mind for top colubrid throat displays, though Spilotes spp. certainly have a great display as well...

Some of my couperi do a pretty good version of puffing up their neck when first picked up.
