I am going to get a ball a ball i put on hold in the up comming retile show in pomona on the 9 and 10 and I want to know if im prepared.

-60 gallon tank
-reptile bark substrate
-two hide boxes
-large water bowl{hes big}
-fake plants
-branches for climbing

I would go with an Under the Tanker heater for the warm end. They like belly heat. Also a temp gun or a digital thermometer with a probe for the hot end is invaluable, IMO.
The set-up will need to be warmed up & temps checked before you get him.

Sounds like a habitat for a happy Ball. They do love to climb, so branches will not go unused! I used to think of Balls and pure ground dwellers, but they climb like crazy when given the chance. Good luck!

Congratulations on the new Ball! How big is your BP? I had a baby ball (about 100grams, 19" long) in a 55 gallon tank a while ago and it wouldn't eat. I had to feed him in a 10 gallon tank and then he never had a problem again, BPs like to be cramped a little bit sometimes. Just something to keep in mind.

Also a thermostat or rheostat may save a lot of frustration while trying to keep the temps correct.

Heis about 3 feet long and the breeder said he is about twolbs.
