Golden Gecko feeding question

UroTamer Dec 03, 2006 10:28 PM

I have 3 golden geckos (not golden day geckos) that I don't think are eating well or right, I'm not sure which. I've tried the baby food/honey mix, regularly put in 1/2inch crickets, and try waxworms sometimes. Problem is I can't tell if/how much they're eating. I mist 2 to 3 times a day and keep a shallow water dish (I had a miniature water fall in there). I've tried putting them in a seperate enclosure just to eat but after a couple hours hadn't touched anything I could tell. I've had them for about 8 weeks now, and while 2 don't necessarily look well fed they don't look starved or dehydrated either. The last one is a good size and maintaining it so far ( I think one is male the other two female).
Any advice, suggestions?? I have a digital camera/camcorder on order but it's not here yet for pics. They are in a 30 gal. long tank with heat lamp, multiple hides, good ventilation.
Thnaks in advance.

well i have had my goldens for almost 2 years.. neither of them eat babyfood or fruit they just look at it.. i feed mine in a white bowl.. that way i can see the roaches and i can tell how many they have eaten

Thanks! I've thought about roaches. What kind? Where do you get yours? How big? I wasn't sure about harder shell inverts so it's mostly just been crix.

Thanks again, Kenn
