more than one female in the same cage with a male to breed? I haven't done this in many years but am thinking of doing it again.

Opinions? Suggestions?

very good question. This is my first year to have paired up any of my snakes, but i have heard of putting 1 male with several females. Im just wondering if he would favoritize 1 more than the others?

a male will usually only work on one female until she ovulates/becomes gravid ... so having more then one would not do to much if he is already breeding/courting one .. i could be wrong but that is from my experience ..good luck

With brazilian rainbow boas many times, Max I have had was 4 litters sired in one year by one male. I bred the 1.4 as a group and three of the litters were within days of each other 08/21, 08/21 and 08/24. The fourth was on 10/15. Total of 90 babies sired by that male that year. All four were good solid litters.

Don't know if this would work the same with BCI/BCC.

but I know many people that put one male in with 2 females and are very successful consistently. The male will be your indicator as to which female is producing heavy amounts of pheromones and will do the job according to which female is most prepared. My dad and I have trouble with this and feel it best to play it safe with one female to one male, however, in the future we may choose to use one male on two females. It leaves an uneasy feeling to know if a male with do the trick on both females since you can only watch him work on one female at a time, but I suppose it is a likely bet to put your money on.
