Trying to decide wich one?

toyota85 Dec 06, 2006 08:56 AM

So I am looking at getting another king snake. I currently have a 06 MBK and he is a great snake! He has never tried to bite or musk! Just a good snake all around. So he kind of makes me want to get another snake. I am trying to decide on one of the following. Another MBK, a albino cal king or a bananna het hypermelanistic cal king. If anyone has pics of the last two, I would love to see what they look like as adults. Thanks for any help

If it's a matter of breeding in the future get another MBK... if you're just collecting snakes for a variety then cali kings are cool... rather under rated Kingsnakes

"Marshmallow" a.k.a "Mellow" Albino Cali King male (banded)

Thats a really nice snake Zenny. Goes to show a common albino cal king is still one of the prettiest snake morphs around.

Now if only their temperament were a little calmer and they would not deficate and scent all over when handled. I have had some that don't, so not all do this as adults. But as hatchlings they all scent and strike. Gotta love em.

Was also thinking of maybe a blizzard kingsnake? does anyone have pics of a adult one? I do not think I have seen a adult blizzard kingsnake before. Thanks again for any help

Just like the poster before me said if breeding is you plan, another black king, but if your just looking for another snake but want something handleable you might want to look into brooksi they come in a variety of colors and are easily held in my oppinion. The pair of hatchlings I have are some of the best feeders and they look great too. Expect them to look different when they get older too so this way your photo album is all different even from one snake.
