Im sure those Burms in FL. have eaten a duck or two.
I did prekill the duck before feeding. Depends on if it has been cold or not. Ducks from a warmer climate (ie May to Sept. in most areas) may have fleas. One of my male burms ate the duck with no problem at all. He loved it, but I'll be honest, I've only done it once and I wouldn't do it again unless it had been frozed for at least 60 days first (this is simply my rule of thumb for anything I feed my animals unless I breed it - chickens included even if I breed them out).

We usually feed her Rabbits but livin down here they are really hard to find esp. this time of year and if we do they are really small so we would end up feeding her three or four at a time and they very exp. She took the duck down fine but when she went to the bathroom it just looked really wierd for the most part it was normal brown and solid but when i took her out of her enclosure to clean it and put her in another room she went to the bathroom again and the last part of it kind of lookd like the quills from the feathers.. im not sure that is what it was but that is what it looked like... was just curious if any one else had feed thier burm a duck or even a chicken.
and I do feed mine chickens all the time. You can certainly tell the wing "bones" from other type food items on the other side. Perfectly normal. I do freeze everything however for 60 days....this helps prevent any kind of parasites. I have a gentleman who raises chickens for me. He even freezes for my required time frame and delivers when I call. Costs about 5 bucks each. If you can find someone who will work with you like this, it sure does make it easy and no shipping!!
