New broad-head skink.

Karu May 20, 2003 07:10 PM

I made a community tank with anoles and a broad-head skink. I live in FL and the Green anole, Brown anole and broad-head skink are WC. They all came from my back yard in the same place so a community tank is fine. The cool thing though is that after only 5 mins of being in the cage, the skink ate a grasshopper! It ate that thing like it has never seen food before. This has always been my experiance with WC skinks. They always eat very well. Well, here is a picture of him eating a grasshopper.

It's not a broad-head.. It's a ground skink. But ANYWAY! The post still applies!

The Uromastyx and the Leopard Geckos both have their own cages. This community cage his only 2 anoles and 1 skink. And it's easy to make 130ºF in my uro cage! Just stick a 100watt basking bulb with a flat rock under it. It heats up the basking area to 130ºF in about a half hour.
