spots on Spiders.. a flaw?

ginevive Dec 06, 2006 05:57 PM

Would you view spots on a Spider, as a visual/genetic flaw? I am just wondering, as it seems that the ones with none (cleaner pattern) sell for more.. does it matter genetically?

I think it just differentiates them further from a normal. The spots are too "alien head" like. I like a more reduced Spider pattern, and I'd bet the general consensus is the same.

I agree.....the spots seem to make the pattern have partial alien heads . Not one of the spiders I've ever produced has a pattern that looks even remotely like a normal Ball Python.............that's the way a mutation should be....different from the norm . Just my 2 cents.

No Spots = Good
High white helps too.
At least in my humble opinion. LOL

I have 3 Spider females, 1 with a few spots and 2 without.
All three are aggressive feeders with great personalities.
Spiders, spotted or not are a great morph to have in your collection and are the key some great designers. I am not sure what the original spider kevin started with looked like, but I would bet it had more then a few spots. You may not prefere the spots or maybe you do, but don't call it a flaw or bad they are just spots. Thats my humle opinion.
