Glad to see you are still around.

Are you talking about putting males and females together for mating?

If so, it depends on how long you brumate. I take my snakes out february 1st and usually the snakes start getting in the mood mid to late february. That is just me, though

I have never messed with the photo periods. I know there is a breeder on here who says she does not brumate either and has never had a problem. (Speaking of her, I have not seen her on in quite some time)I usually put my males with my females as soon as the females have their first post-brumation shed. For you, that would be the first shed of spring, I would guess. You should be able to tell right away if your females are in the mood. The males, it seems, are always in the mood.

what i do is right around february my female sheds and i put them together and see how redeptive "both" parties are. if one is no receptive i pull them apart. i keep trying this every week until both are receptive.last year i left my male in for 2 weeks with no action and seperated them for about 3 days and put them back and bang they got together.it was in april sometime that they hooked up and she actually became gravid( their were many hook ups before this though) she also double clutched for me also.
adam
p.s. i let them keep hooking up until i know she is gravid i leave them together for a week and apart for 3 days, and repeat
