Hello everyone, I was wondering if someone could give any suggestions on where would be the best place to place the heat tape on my tub to meet the temp. requirements needed. I was planning on placing the heat tape on one of the sides of the tub(corner side). I know that I'm not the only one who has made a tub for just one neonate so I'm trying to find out what might of worked for you. To give you some background info so you can better understand what I am planning on doing the tub is one like Greg Maxwell suggests, it is 3 gallon, I got a foot of 11' heat tape, and a helix dbs 1000 temp controller. It is also going to be for a 5 month old gtp that I am planning on getting once I figure out how to get all the temps and humidity in the tub right. Do you believe I can get away with just using heat tape or will i need to use a lamp since the tub won't be in a cabinet with other tubs? Also if I can just use heat tape will the Gtp be all right with just the light from the room, since the top will be on and there won't be any light on top of tub shining through. I am also planning on putting the required holes on the side of the tub, Grex Maxwell suggests 10, but i live in Florida, should I have more since I'm sure the humidity is higher here than Penn.
Thanks for any suggestions you might have and your help,
Shannon
