A good guess for crested is about 1/3 of the widest part of their head for the girth of the cricket. Judging by the pic you posted before, I would guess the gecko is at least 2 or 3 months old and should be just right on what is normally labeled "small" crickets. Usually, this is a size or two up from pinheads depending on the store. (pinheads, very small, small, medium, large is what I normally see around these parts) It doesn't do any real harm to err on the small side, you just might end up feeding more & buying more.
You do want to be careful though, our leos will only eat the size cricket that is appropriate and will ignore everything else... our crested, on the other hand, will try to eat anything, literally, and has even tried to eat her neighbor's crickets even though they were way too big size wise and were separated from her by two planes of glass. Small details to a growing crested.
Good luck, judge using the head trick, don't worry about erring on the small side and keep up the CGD. Sounds like you're doing fine, we look forward to pictures of him/her fully grown!

Ok that sounds great but the petstore around here only have like pinheads and the rest look pretty large to me, But i will use my better judgment and try to find small better ones. I do have anther question though, You said he/she looks only a couple of months old i was wondering how much more growing does he/she have(i read they only grow 6-10inches long true or false) And if theres a proper time or way to see if infact it is a he or she? Thanks for the help!
Great advice sleepygecko.
Another trick to switch them over to CGD is to 'dust' the crickets with the diet. They will get use to the diet a bit quicker.
