I would not reccomend that you use a heat pad with a rubbermaid, since heat pads tend to burn hotter than heat tapes. However, when I did use a heatpad,I DID NOT use the one with the Sticker.I used the plain one made by Cobra from Petco.I would take HEAVY DUTY TIN FOIL,(only Heavy Duty Tin Foil) and double or even triple fold it, and tape it with heat tape under the rubbermaid,at least 4 times the size of the heatpad.Iwould then place the heatpad under the tin foiled side of the rubbermaid.Use a thermostat to avoid over heating.

I actually prefer heat cable for rubbermaid/plastic tubs. Its great beause it is already coated with a type of rubber or plastic material. I think Zoo Med makes it in different lengths. I also use a dimmer switch with it so I can turn it down in the summer.

Flexwatt heat tape is what I use and put it on a dimmer or a helix thermostat.Although flexwatt is low wattage I just recently burned a hole in my rubbermaid that is on wheels. Its in a rack system and it was one that is in the middle.Must have accumilated alot of heat.I took my thermostat off of it to put it on my little guys cage, and been playing w/ the dimmer switch.Guess I was off a few degrees or more.
