Our little Mexican came out after dusk as usual but he gave us a real fright after a while. Trying to scale the glass front of his vivarium, he fell backwards into the water dish from about 7 in. high. The scary thing is that he didn't move until I picked him up out of the water; his head was at the bottom of the dish and still bent in a climbing position almost like he was frozen from the shock of falling or something. I'm sure he would have moved soon but we didn't want to risk him possibly drowning. After this he has been more timid and reserved in wandering around the vivarium. I hope he was just a little shaken up and that I am worrying over nothing, but I don't want anything to happen to him.
