i just dont understand the appeal of enchi pastels. granted, they are rare, but a really nice pastel jungle seems better looking for a fraction of the cost. any pics of crosses that might change my mind? anyone agree with me on this one? please, let me have it.

I understand your opinion and I respect it. But I think one thing that gets people a little confused when they think about Enchi’s is the “pastel” at the end of the name. They really have nothing to do with pastels at all. So sometimes people think, why is a pastel so cheap and an Enchi so expensive? It's a mutation that has really just begun to be bred into things. We produced a Stinger Bee (Enchi X Spider) that is really turning out great. I’ll try to get a pic up as soon as I can. But there are a ton of possibilities with this mutation. The thing that’s very hard to pick up in pics is the Bronze color that they have in them. There really isn’t a Ball Python that has this color in it. So with every cross we’ll be adding into the color scheme. Some will be great and some might be a disappointment. But for now Enchi's are a new project with tons of potential. And that's really what you're paying for,the potential. Hopefully over the next couple of years they will win you over. Thanks, Brian (BHB)

but don't let it go to your head Brian lol. The Enchi's have a great deal of potential and some of the crosses I have seen are amazing. The few Stingerbees I have seen have almost no speckling in their pattern and the spider pattern is a bit crazy looking. The colors are there...yellow and white...but they are really intense! I have also seen three more combos with them and all of them are insane looking...

I originally wasn't very high on them either until I actually saw them in person at the Tinely Park show back in October...Believe me, they are very, very nice looking! Plus, like Brian said, they still have a ton of cross potential.

The Enchi does not overly impress me FOR THE PRICE. When they come down in price to around $1K, I will be more interested. They do have a cool pattern, at least the ones I have seen pics of, and ok coloring. To me, as adults, they only look ok. As babies, they look pretty attractive, but as they age, they look more and more like a Pastel, in my opinion. I might change my mind once I actually see one in person, who knows.

in pictures the Enchis are just......ok.

but there are subtle things going on with pattern and color that you have to see in person to appreciate. they are quite impressive in person, that is the key : )
