well if it ever rains here and the ground gets saturated you should have luck hunting dead rotted pinetree stumps for scarletkings, but only hunt on the coldiest days and early mournings seem to be the right time, and north port has plenty of both treestumps and kings..JB

florida is a big state...where do you plan on going exactly? ill be heading down for the week leading up to xmas. the keys have always been decent, the further south you go, obviously the warmer it gets. we usually have a lot of luck with trash sites and sunset road cruising around the various keys. got a dback last year, hope to get another one this year. everglades had pretty slim pickings last year, although one of the few snakes we found was a burmese. didnt have much luck otherwise last year outside the keys, we got unlucky and had a cold front come through as we moved north and tried to herp some canals around lake placid. anyway, this time im hoping for a coral, an indigo, and any other possible lifers!

As of right now, everything is still out and about in Central Florida. I've found more Pygmy Rattlesnakes than I know what to do with. I would expect everything to stay out unless we get a really cool Cold Front
