Well I finally witnessed a copulation between my male pastel and one of my big girls. The male is about 6months old and weighs about 550 grams. What are the chances of him having good sperm, or should I expect slugs this year?? I have another female thats up to size and wanted to pair him up with her also, but wanted to know before I did. Thanks in advance!

Keep messing with them when they are locked up, And he may never breed again. After his Hemipenis are ripped out...

Congrats and good luck. Balls breed sometimes just for recreation.

I agree with JASBALLS , People(inexperienced) just don't know when to leave these animals alone.... for God's sake . You're lucky they are breeding in captivity as it is .LET THEM DO WHAT NATURE INTENDED . Wouldn't you rather be taking pictures of eggs hatching ???? ................I WOULD .

Exactly...eggs are good/ripped,torn,or missing hemi-penes bad.

I don't even like sliding tubs out to check on them(,so i went ahead and aquired cages just for breeding pairs.)
