I have been tryin to convert my jcp to rat pups instead of mice with no luck. Simple fact is i raise my own rats for my boas so i always have rats that are the perfact size for her but she shows no intrest in them.She is a egressive feeder when it come to mice but does nothin but strike and release the rat pups in defense.I refuse to raise mice because they are nasty little bastards and i like my house to smell nice not like muose piss.So has any one had any luck or know any good tricks ??? I was goin to try to just only offer the rat pups and hope she will get hungry and eat but i preffer not to take that route I know how stubern they can be.

HOw old is your JCP? I have some old JCPs that won't convert. I had my first clutch of JCP's this year and I got them all eating rat pinkies with out a problem.

The tricks I tried but didn't work for me:

Use make a mouse scent. Expensive

Brain a pinkie and scent a rat with it.

Store Frozen mice in a bag with frozen rats.

What worked for me:

Order mice in large quanities from RodentPro.com

Breeding JCPs and converting them early (they are to small as neonates to start on rat pinkies)
