Tank size for a Cal King

snakelady2 Dec 10, 2006 07:48 PM

What size tank does a full grown Cal King need? I have the horizontal striped variaty and I've seen them get pretty big. Right now my snake is 2 yrs old and he's already 4 ft long, wow! Also if any of you could suggest a particular model that would be great. I'm obviously not a breeder, so some sort of glass or plastic locking tank that I can "see into" would be awesome! Thanks for your help!

20 gallon is the smallest for that species. If it is something to look at, a nice 30-40 gallon display tank may be your preferance.

i use a 29 gallon tall for my girl, she seems pretty content so far, i might get her a larger cage if she gets past the five foot mark but for now this is fine ^__^
