Some hondo questions

RobertIIII Dec 11, 2006 07:52 AM

Hi all, I have been thinking of getting a tang hondo and had a few questions. I have a couple of kings at the moment and was wondering if the husbandry requirments were pretty much the same for hondos? Can some recommend a good care sheet for hondos? Thanks for your help

Yes pretty much identical. Hondurans are very hardy and do not require a lot of heat. Just search for "honduran milksnake caresheet" in google. There are many out there.

Thanks, Will do. Also I have heard that tangerine hondos dull as they age? any truth to this?

Yes. They often acquire black "tipping" on the scales as well as a "wash" that muddies their orange color. Not all of them do this, but most of them do.

You can find allot of info out there. You can check my site westcoasthondurans http://kingsnake.com/wchond

also if you want a snake to stay pretty clean just buy a tangerine hypo and they stay nice and bright.
