Which would you do and why?

I would cross the YB to Pastel. More possibilities with other crossings later, and you could probably get a bit more money for it if you sell it. Super pastels should be cheap next year, so you could pick one up in trade or next to nothing. I think trip and quad morph combos should be the focus, but it all depends what your plans are for the future. Just my 2 cents.

the prettier snake is a really nice super pastel so if you are going for a snake to look at I'd say the super pastel slightly edges out the yb pastel. As far as breeding potential the yb pastel far outweighs the super pastel in that arena and a really nice one almost rivals the average super pastel. If it were me and I had one female pastel and a male yb and male pastel I'd put the yb with it but if I had 2 pastel females, I'd put a male with each unless of course there was a spider that wanted to go, then I'd do one yb and one spider. That's the good thing about these animals, sooooo many combo's soooo little time.

I figure we need at least 15 pastel females and would like to have around 20 just to do pastel crosses with what we have. I could only imagine how many the big boys have or need.

1.1 Pastel (male has additional gene going on with him)

I don't have a Super Pastel, but I do have a Pastel Yellow Belly, and I would definitely do the Pastel Yellow Belly. They are great looking, and I wouldn't trade mine for a Super any day. Check him out

Yb, it is a no brainer unless you really want a Super Pastel. Pastel YB females are a very nice animal to have, look great, and can make quad morphs. Make yourself some Pastel YB's and then make some Super Pastels by accident later on....breeding a Pastel YB x Pastel or something like that.
