This is my new Blood that was not eating. He has had two meals now (and a shed) and all is well.
Not as dark in person.

Hey,
Lovely! Looks like a little jungle carpet python in the bottom out of focus picture. Very nice!

Have you hugged your Blood today?
Ya know, I have a Jungle Carpet Python, and I thought the same thing. The pictures I took last night don't do it justice. The yellows are pretty vibrant and the contrast is nice.
Bright yellow spots on a nice tomato red wouldn’t hurt my feeling any.
Thanks for looking.
What did your blood decide to start eating? Just out of curiosity, how often is she eating.
I've got a new one, too, that started eating about a week after I got her. She's taking rat pups--one a week. She's no thicker than yours is and maybe 12-14 in. long. I was just wondering if I should push her to eat even more often.
I’m new to Bloods, but from what I’ve seen, well-feed, healthy ones are a bit more plump and less like a trim Ball Python. I am feeding mine rats that are older than fuzzys and not quite weaned hoppers; I call them “crawlers”. I have three female rats to keep me in good supply. I’m feeding him/her every 5 days until he’s up to what I perceive “normal” weight. If this is wrong or bad, PLEASE someone tell me. My Blood is about 12” to 16” also.
