I think I may have found a pr. (2 seperate dealers). I asked jeeves & googled them but wanted to know of any 1st hand experiences with them. I'm interested in breeding them. Are they hard to acclimate or easy can they be grouped housed or solo males?

forstenii can be easy to acclimate. They don't like to be cold. I keep mine in a room that rarely drops under 78F, and reaches about 85F during the day. They love soft fruits and greens, with some worms on occasion. Get some fecals done to clean them up. Healthy males will fight and can hurt each other pretty bad. The females can also be aggressive. I keep all my forstenii individualy, hatchlings included, I pair them for breeding for a few days at most. I also on occasion allow the males to fight, supervised only. Most times a clutch consists of one egg. One large(1.7kg) female has laid two per clutch a few times. I have had eggs laid almost every month, but most nesting seems to take place January to July. Eggs take about five months to hatch at temps in the low 80s.
