I am going to Desert Springs, CA this January and I was curious if there will be in any herps out that time of year there. I believe western diamonbacks, mojaves, gopher snakes, and a few others. How common are these snakes and what kind of places or time of day should I search.

Thanks

Keep checking the weather once it gets around the time you'll head out there. Also maybe check over on the field herper forum. They might have some people from out that way who might be able to give you specifics of where to look. I'm guessing most everything will be asleep then. Depending on if it rains or not you might see amphibians.
