It's an anery all right, but it's anery B. Pewter. A good looking one at that.

Kudos,

Hey Don. You can tell that for sure? I have been wanting a Pewter for SOOO long. I am going to have to get a mate for him and I'd hate to get the wrong type of anery!

Well then, I am super excited. Thanks for letting me know. I do not know how anery a bloodred and pewter hatchlings look different. I don't think I have seen an anery A bloodred hatchling

Here is a shot of an anery blood with a pewter. Of course, not all anery bloods look like this, but it's not an atypical look within the morph.

thanks for the pic. It helps a lot. I see the difference.
My little guy took his first f/t meal already. I figured I'd offer him one just to see. Since the trip and the fact that he is used to live, I didn't think he'd eat. Well, needless to say, he has a full belly. Looking forward to getting a mate for him. I also popped him and he is a definite male.
thanks again for the pic

how about that...you got a beauty of an anery blood and it turns out even better...a pewter.
make sure to call Aaron and thank him again.
He may not even realize there is anery B in the parents.
It could be a pleasant surprise for him as well.

he posted this snake on here not too long ago, asking what it was. We told him bloodred anery. He said he sold the parents to a guy at the last reptile show for $100 (man that guy got an AWESOME deal!). He said he might try to hunt the guy down, but doubted he could. I know I'd be kicking myself for a long time over that one. Then again, he said he isn't much into corns, so who knows.

You're welcome! I'm glad Don was able to identify which type of anery he is and since I've read many of your posts I'm sure he's gone to a good home.

xblackheart Dec 14, 2006 12:18 AM

thank you.
Were you ever able to track down the parents?

I did finally get ahold of the guy I got them from. He wasn't the breeder; he got them from a person I had never heard of so I didn't persue it. He did say again that they were bloods and not keys.
As far as the people I sold them to they were just a young couple at the Anaheim show and I did not even try to track them down as it would be impossible. I do remember them saying they had some other corns and were interested in breeding them so they may get a nice suprise next year.
