Brumation

tomeles Dec 14, 2006 02:17 AM

Anyone care to share their methods, mistakes, dos and donts of brumating beardies? Its that time of year, and I seem to have problems breeding my females subsequent years (after their first breeding). Will brumation help?
Thanks

i just let them sleep.

as soon as they wake up, feed them a lot and soon after that (a week or two) it'll be breeding time. I have a large cage with a divider which has a male on one side and a female on the other side. the male can't get over, but when my female is ready to breed she jumps the wall with ease and litterly forces herself onto him. the funny thing is, she jumps back onto her side and thats it.
