Effects of motherhood on disposition??

tcdrover Dec 14, 2006 11:13 AM

I'm curious what other boa breeders think about this.

How does repeated breeding affect disposition if at all?

I've got a female who I've bred two years in a row now.
She has always been a very calm, docile, tractable boa, but
now she is 'different' all of a sudden.

Maybe she wants to breed, or is totally focused on regaining
body weight? I don't know, but lately I've got to use a shield
just to change her water and before I was able to just reach in
and pick her up, even the day after she birthed both times.

i have a female that is over 14 years old and produced 8 litters so far and she is just as gentile and calm as she has evey been , so cant see how breeding would have effected her

possibility that it could be is the neighbors constantly
slamming their door. My whole apartment shakes everytime they
slam it & they do it all day long...
