I dont think they are. Tent tortoises are endangered and i think there is very little if any tent tortoise in the US>
in my hometown, who has helped me with some of my tortoise, used to have some various south African species that he actually went to Africa to collect in an attempt to breed them. He actually used to breed a ton of different species of tortoise (red-footed, egyptian, pancake, and the list goes on and on). I believe he did have some success with speckled padlopers, but he never had much success with tent tortoises. All but 1 of the ones he was able to find died, I think maybe even before he was able to get them home. I can't remember the exact situation, but I know that the tent torts were almost dead when he got them, and with no information on them, he could only sustain one of them. I'll have to talk to him more about it, because I can't really remember the details.
But basically, I'm pretty sure at this time there aren't any breeders of tent tortoises.
