My neighbors are so annoying. On the one hand they are the nicest people who've ever lived next door to us but on the other hand they're about as bright as a pile of rocks. LOL
Anything to do with pet animals or wildlife.. they won't believe the truth about them but they believe every urban legend that ever existed.

Sunday when I got home from taking the eggs to the vet's incubator the man was at the fence when I stepped out of the car. He thought I'd been out doing laundry.. I told him no all these old towels I have in a basket were surrounding the Coleman cooler I'd used to transport the eggs, the towels were cushioning for that cooler.
I told him Destiny had laid eggs again & he said
"If I were you I'd get on that Internet & sell them!"
(well you aren't me)
"I'd put a picture of Destiny on there & say this is what you're getting"
(well you aren't me)
Destiny is so deformed from someone else's mistreatment.. I don't think she's good advertising even though we personally think she is the most beautiful tortoise on Earth.

He thinks someone did this on purpose to make money off my tortoise & leave me out in the cold on the money.
You know not every one is out to rip you off. I can't even try to explain this to next door neighbor.. he just does not get it!

This was an honest mistake, he doesn't know my vet, he can't comprehend the way she & I both think. We get along so well because we think the same way. She's not taking over my eggs so she can make $$ off them. She wants to try to hatch them because she wants to see if she can do it successfully.
She freely admits that she's a "collector" but the diff between her and the "cat collector" types is that unlike those people who do not provide health care for their too many cats (or other animals) my vet IS THE VET. Animals she cares for never get sloppy care.
She'd never breed animals for profit.. she rescues too many to even think about doing that.
It irritates me so much to listen to the blather from the neighbor but I can't be snotty to them because in other ways they are so nice to us.
It's frustrating & makes me want to rant.
