Hello, all.

I apologize to everyone for "showing my rear end" so to speak on the forum here. It was uncalled for. Especially to you, Greg. Please accept my apology.

I just get so frazzled when someone jumps all up and down because I have hybrid snakes.

They are all separate. Of COURSE I keep them separate. I would HOPE that all snakebreeders label their boxes.

I also never breed more than four females of ANYTHING per season.

Now, it IS true that I have no control over what someone else does when they buy one and raise it up but there are LOTS of opportunities for someone to be unscrupulous in this hobby.

Now, I gotta go....I'm off to breed a Rottweiler with a Honda Civic.

Chris,
It's all good man. Personally, I love the pastel kings......they are awesome. Additionally I understood what your ads implied. It took a lot of work to get the pastel king to the point they are at today. If prices were lower, I bet more people would own a pair or three. Bet that is the case in five more years.

Awesome Copperhead Chris. If I was ever going to own a hot, it would be a copperhead. Truly beautiful animals.

For what it’s worth, I saw nothing wrong or misleading with your ads and can’t say I totally blame you for going off. Even if it’s done in a casual way, nobody likes it when their reputation is sullied. Still it showed a level of maturity to take the lead and end the squabble. You took the high ground there.

Nobody was going after anybody's reputation, and I really do not wish to beat the issue to death. The only real problem I have with Chris' post and ad was that he refers to his "pastel kings" as "thayeri" more than once. This truly confused me. When he said they were bred back into his thayeri line 4 times, I thought he meant thayeri. I prefer not to own hybrids but I have no problem with others owning them and selling them as long as they are clearly labeled as such. These were sometimes identified as hybrids and sometimes identified as thayeri, and that was my only problem. I appreciate Chris' apology. I must confess I felt that the comment that I was "confused by genetics" was taken a little too personally by me and may have fueled my questioning of the wording of his ad. Anyone who thinks he took the high road the whole way did not see the personal e-mail he sent me.
