krystal19_85 Aug 08, 2003 12:00 PM

How many rats SHOULD (not can) I be able to put in a 20 gallon long tank? I know not many. I have a 20 gallon tall for my mice, but I HATE the hight! I am getting a 20 gallon long tank soon and NEED to get some RATS, these Mice SUCK!

I personally wouldn't do more than 1.2
You might get 1.3 okay, but you will be cleaning bedding often. And they will all need to be very friendly.

I like that page. But I look and I gotta say I don't think I could fit a 300gram rat into a 5X6 inch living space. So, I take it with a bit of a grain of salt too. But better than the palaces I tend to.
