Can you over feed baby corn?

Jeanin Dec 14, 2006 07:08 PM

Hello
My corn was born early last summer. At first she was eating a pinkie here and there nothing to impressive . She would nose it but than leave it averaged 1 pinkie every 2 weeks (I had her in 20 galon long with branches hide area and UTH on one side).

Than 2 months ago I placed her tank in my screened porch (Miami)which is exposed to outside temp, humidity, etc but its shaded no direct sunlight (It has windows but I leave them open day/night) . Guy I bought her from told me to try this .

She has been eating like a pig and has shed twice since than infact ate 5 large pinkies in last week . I am thinking now that perhaps to much . She is plump but than again still growing so maybe its okay ?

Thanks

Yes, you can over feed anything.
Five pinkies at one time?
Five pinkies over a week?
Either way I would suggest a once a week feeding schedule.
Move it up to one fuzzie a week.
When one fuzzie a week fails to leave a noticeable bulge move up to two fuzzies a week.
Then one hopper
two hoppers
etc...etc
my 2 cents

sounds like too much. I do 1 pinkie every 5 days. The same with fuzzies. When they start to eat adult mice I just feed once a week. Surprised she didn't regurgitate after eating that much. Good luck
