Pro Mist vs Mister Moisture

OliveJewel Dec 16, 2006 12:37 AM

I recently bought the Habba Mist and was disappointed by the puny output. I will be getting a very large cage (6ft tall by 4 feet long by 2 feet deep) for my prehensile tailed skink. I live in Arizona so I need a good humidifier. I have seen the ProMist system advertised in Reptiles Magazine. I went on LLL Reptile's site to check out their misters and they have a product called Mister Moisture. My questions are... does anyone use either of these? What are advantages and disadvantages? Ideally, I'd like the pump and system to be outside of the enclosure and just the tubes to come in and be secured (not sure how) inside to provide even, thorough misting.
Any suggestions?

I was using the Mister Moisture units a few yrs back on cages i sold , they units were having issues with pumps getting to hot and casuing the line to burst at the pump from heat causingthe tubing to soften. The promist setup are more expensive but are also worth the weight in gold .
