Cages By Design

OliveJewel Dec 16, 2006 12:40 AM

Anyone have an enclosure by this company? It seems better than Custom Cages (more add-on options). I am not handy with tools. I sort of think that it wouldn't be THAT hard to build a cage. But then again, I get frustrated easily, and don't have any woodworking mentors around to help me.

i used to have one that are 6foot long by 3 foot depth i must say i hate it. it's nice but there's a few cons...
1. the cage are wobbling not sturdy.
2. when i took the cage apart there were old bathroom hiding in some gap frame and it smell, from this my boa got a ri and she passed away. i sold the cage.
i use animal plastics, visions and herpcages from barrs. imo plastic cage are best. but if i had a choice from cages by design and custom cages i would go with coustom cages. oh also the wood from cages by design is cheap pressed wood that are same as kmart or walmart when you buy shevles or a dresser from that store.
good luck.

Thank you for responding. I checked out all those companies and only Animal Plastics makes one in the size I need. But I am also bummed because they discontinued their "heat shrouds." I don't know what it is, but it looks useful. Anyone else have knowledge of Cages by Design or input on Animal Plastics?

the heat shourds is a place you put a heat bulb in it. i rather use heat pad or a heat panel. i have 4 of animal plastics cages and a rack and i love them alot!
