Best way to handle a very bad shed probl

I have a tegu that is in a very bad way.His shed is just not coming off, he is starting to get splits in his skin under the stuck shed...I need all the best solutions.Ive been soaking and oiling.What else can I do?

I think what you need to do is give it a soak in water deep enough to cover it, and check the temp of the water to get it the same as basking temp. When you take it out put a light coat of triple antibiotic ointment on it, while it's still warm. The heat should allow the ointment to penetrate the shed. If you have a sand substrate don't put it back right away, and when you do put it in it's basking area.

Thanks,,I got the problem cured.I just called the breeder and he helped me through it.I actually used a wet towel hide for a week and his shed Finally came away..It was so bad I was really worried, he couldnt even walk right for awhile, but now he is fine.
