Coleus needs much more light than we can provide in vivariums, and prefers less humidity. They do best in full sunlight or bright window light, as a house plant, or outdoors in full sunlight in warm weather. In a terrarium situation, they will just barely survive while scraggling around, overgrow in a linear fashion, while losing all the interesting leaf color. It is not a good vivarium/terrarium plant for our purposes.

Yeah you're probably right. I have good luck growing them under artificial light but they are prone to rotting if they too wet and dying if they get too dry. Probably more trouble than its worth. Thanks!
