eek! a mouse!

How weird is it that every week I go to the petstore and buy two live mice and reach into a tiny box and pull them out by the tail and dangle them for my ball python and earlier today my 9 yr old son said he saw a mouse and when I went to look it ran around the corner and I shreaked like a little girl? It is just a baby mouse but I put out a trap because I can't have it loose in the house. I just think it is weird to feed live mice with no problem but find one in the house that isn't supposed to be here and I'm all freaked out.

My mom is scared of rats, but not mice. So years ago, when I lived with her I had to lie and tell her that the rats I was buying for my boas were just "African mice" that happen to look more like rats. Not only did she believe me, but she actually held them on at least 2 different occasions.

I told her the truth last year around christmas, and she nearly freaked!? It's always fun when your grown up and can finally tell on yourself and not get in any trouble.

After three attempts with peanut butter on the trap, my hubby chewed a gummy fish up and stuck it to the trap. Yesterday morning the 'ground mole' was caught. Then i felt bad because all in all this little thing was only about an inch and a half long. We get one every time it starts to get cold out. So hopefully I am done with that for the year.
