He keeps spilling his water

kongsnake Dec 17, 2006 07:54 PM

I have a 5 yr. old male ball. The past couple of weeks he's become more active and has tipped his water dish 3 times. Wondering what's going on. I thought he might be hungry, so I have attempted to feed him twice. He will not strike. Was eating regularily until then.

Habitat: 20g long with solid top for humidity trap. Temp is high 80's on hot side. Sometimes have some condensation on glass although it has decreased since furnace has been drying the house out. Bedding is newspaper, black print only. Hide, some wood branches.

Why has his activity increased? Normally I only see this when he is hungry. Thanks

get some 4" pvc and some disposable water dishes (1 lb deli salad containers) cut the pvc to almost the height of the water bowl and your good to go.

kongsnake,

He is ready to breed and looking for a mate, it is that time of year. He will probably start backing off of food as well, it's nature.

Take Care,
