Just a few pics

jtclark Dec 17, 2006 09:18 PM

My amber just shed so thought I would take some pics. I bought him as a butter, but am still very happy with him. He is eating like a pig. I just need to figure out what to get him for a mate since he was bought to go with my Amel Motley.(First with no flash, other 2 with)

Here is my big girl who is on a diet. Had her on small rats every week but for the winter she is getting 1 adult mouse every 2 weeks. I want her to be healthy for my Striped Anery in 08.

And for the post a few days ago about color change from baby to adult, check out this change. I know a few of you will recognize this, but it still blows me away. This is my Husky/German Shepherd mix Porter.

And Just because I took them today, here are 2 shots through the glass of my IJ. I actually haven't been bit in 4 weeks--lol.

Is that female corn as big as it looks in those pictures?

Do you have any pics with something for scale?

Or length and girth measurements?

My female creamsicle is shaping up to be pretty huge at this point, would love it if she got that big.

She is the biggest corn I have seen in person, but that isn't saying too much. The closest I have come to measuring her was to stretch her out over my 4' long table and she had plenty hanging over both sides. I will try to get something in the pic next time to show scale.

Hey is that the corn that was picked up from the guy who just fed it everytime his buddies wanted to see something cool? If so, she's came a long way already, when we last seen her she had a much wider girth, great job so far! and love the pup, amazing difference a few months makes!

jtclark Dec 18, 2006 06:23 PM

Nope, I have had her since she was a hatchling. I have never fed her more than once a week, and never really pushed the size or quantity. I don't know how she got too big. It seemed to sneak up on me. It was just like in one week she got fat. I will just be smarter about the size of prey she gets until she slims down a bit. I should do the same thing for myself--lol.

No cheating here. Just a lot of work on handling her as much as possible. We have been watching a lot of TV together--lol. She had a pretty bad attitude for awhile but she is getting better. She has a crazy feeding response and getting her out of the feeding tub and into her cage was always the worst. She is better, but I still wear gloves and keep her away from my face...
